Do you know what eBay is without sellers? eBust. Ok, a cheeky joke to prove a point. Sellers are the lifeblood of eBay. Our task on this project was to help define the tone, messaging and marketing approach to the seller audience. This meant researching and internalizing the many different seller profiles from the first-time-lister to the regular seller to the entreprenurial and merchant sellers raking in more than $1M a month in eBay sales.

We looked at tone, voice, pain points, visual expressions, headline treatments and more. We created libraries of marketing concepts and photography examples. All told, our contributions helped to form the basis for an eBay Seller Style Guide.
